20th Anniversary Action

Approximately 1000 people attended the protest in New York City’s downtown financial district commemorating ACT UP’s 20th anniversary of direct action and AIDS activism. Chanting “Health Care for People, Not for Profits!”, 27 people were arrested following an act of civil disobedience at the end of the protest demanding single-payer national health insurance in the United States.
