ST. CHARLES YOUTH HONORED AS HERO BY NATIONAL HOMELESS YOUTH ORGANIZATION IN DC

National Recognition for Danny Holmes, St. Charles’ digital artist honored by National Network For Youth with hero for homeless youth award.

(Washington, D.C.)—National Network for Youth, a national organization that has been championing the needs of runaway, homeless and other disconnected youth for 35 years, is proud to honor Danny Hommes as a “Hero for Homeless Youth.”

“Danny gives selflessly of his time and expertise to help homeless youth. His moving images of these young people speak volumes about their lives and puts a human face on a problem many would like to deny or ignore.” said National Network for Youth CEO and President Victoria Wagner.

Danny is a digital artist and founder of Pixelography, LLC., in St. Charles, MO. He has graciously provided NN4Y with videos in recent years to help better articulate the plight of runaway and homeless youth to a larger audience.

National Network for Youth celebrated the work of Danny and others like him at Symposium 2010: 35 Years of Helping Homeless Youth the American Dream on Tuesday evening, January 26, 2010, during a special dinner at the Omni Shoreham hotel. NN4Y honored achievements on behalf of runaway and homeless youth, as well as acknowledged those members of Congress and the House who have made a significant impact on their work in the past year.

There are 2.5 million disconnected, unaccompanied and/or homeless youth in out country. Founded in 1975, National Network for Youth (www.nn4youth.org) is a membership organization to serve these youth. Comprised of young people, youth-serving agencies, youth workers, and youth advocates, National Network members seek to ensure that all young people can be safe and lead healthy and productive lives.
