DIVERSITYINC CELEBRATES 10 YEARS OF ITS CORPORATE INDEX WITH 2 DAYS OF EVENTS IN WASHINGTON, DC MARCH 9-10

February 23, 2010 (Washington, D.C.) ­ DiversityInc, the leading source of information on diversity management will announce The 2010 DiversityInc Top 50 Companies for Diversity® on March 9, 2010 as part of its two-day event March 9th and 10th in Washington, D.C.

Now in its 10th year, the DiversityInc Top 50 list is among the most elite business listings and is considered the most credible assessment of diversity-management success. This year, 449 companies participated, up 12 percent from last year’s 401.

To qualify for the DiversityInc Top 50 Companies for Diversity,
organizations must have more than 1,000 employees and must be able to demonstrate above-average diversity commitment in each of four key areas: CEO Commitment, Human Capital, Corporate and Organizational Communications, and Supplier Diversity.

This two-day event at which the DiversityInc Top 50 will be announced has two focuses —- March 9 will offer a in-depth examination of global-diversity trends and data, including DiversityInc¹s groundbreaking research on 12 countries. March 10 will offer how to’s on diversity management for federal agencies and companies at the earlier stages of diversity initiatives. Leading experts in business diversity, economics and politics, including AT&T Chairman, CEO and President Randall Stephenson; Claude Steele, Provost of Columbia University; Admiral Gary Roughead, Chief of Naval Operations, and others will gather at the Park Hyatt in Washington, D.C. for the event.
